I have been using Powerpoint as a non traditional marketing tool for over 25 years in the Corporate World. In fact I use Powerpoint like no other person I have ever seen before (even the socialmediawoman virtual magazine is created using powerpoint) it is a fabulous tool.
It is also a fantastic tool for creating marketing movies for products or 'product launch' videos like the internet marketing experts use for their million dollar launches including Frank Kern, Ryan Deiss, Jeff Walker, Andy Jenkins to name a few.
Below is a couple of tips on how you can use powerpoint for your video marketing and also how you can use it to get around Animoto's character restrictions with their text tool. It can get a bit frustrating only being able to use 22 characters in the text feature and 30 characters in your sub line?
Why? Because you end up focusing not on your key message in your video but on what fits into 22/30 characters. It is almost like twitter for video marketing but unfortunately marketing does not always work abbreviated. (Especially when the 22/30 character limit includes spaces).
Below is a solution you may find helpful. I use this often for my client videos (see sample client videos below) and they have found this tip useful for being able to say what they want instead of abiding by Animoto restrictions.
